PKR Challenge update

After getting up to about 40 cents after winning a few more of the free rolls, I went into 2/4c no limit ring game. The action in the free roles was quite loose, and this didnt change in the ring game. I'm now up to $1.37.

I'm quite liking the tables at PKR, so far the competition has been quite weak, compared to other sites I've been on. I would suggest getting in on the action. You will shake your head as players go all in on any suited cards, or even a pair of 2's. It can get frustrating at times, but if you're patient enough you will crush them easily.

PKR Challenge

I thought I would issue myself another challenge. While I'm grinding away with my 20 dollars on pokerstars, I'll be starting from nothing on PKR and trying to work my way up. PKR has Sit n Goes where you can win 6 cents every time you take one down (free to play). In order to get to the next Sit n Go level I have to win 10 of these.

I've won three so far, so I have a mighty 18 cents next to my name. When I get to 60 cents, I will give the next level a crack. Though if I go poorly in that I will be starting all over again.
The level of play at the free sit n goes is quite poor. So its just a matter of time before I get there. I’ll keep you posted about my low level shenanigans.

Donk to Dwan

Tom 'Durr' Dwan

A lot of you would be familiar with the story of Tom 'Durr' Dwan, now a multi-millionaire. He started playing online with a $50 investment.

I will be trying my own "Donk to Dwan" challenge. I believe the key to success lies in Bankroll management, and playing good tight-aggressive poker.

I will be following the rules Chris Ferguson used for his "$0 to $10'000" challenge, except ill be starting with $20.

With $20 Dollars I can Play:

Sit and Go's (One Table) - Up to $2.50

Multi Table SNG's/Tourney - Up to $1

Ring Games - up to 2/4c limit

Not much variety there I know, but in order to avoid losing all my bankroll, I have to play lower limits, and grind it out to the higher limits.

The challenge starts today, I'll post updates in the coming days.

In the Beginning

Hello world, welcome to my small corner of the internet. The idea of this blog is to follow my poker exploits online. I don't claim to be the best, but I am solid enough to do some damage (to myself most likely). My goal is to turn a profit, and eventually qualify for some live tournaments.

I will report on my progress over the coming weeks, and will try to record a few games for your mockery and amusement.
